Bio:

Dr. Patricia Beaston is a seasoned regulatory expert and former Medical Officer at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where she served for over two decades. She evaluated endocrine drugs, diagnostic devices, and advanced biologics including islet-cell transplantation, type 1 diabetes immunomodulation, gene therapies, and xenotransplantation. Dr. Beaston holds a BS in Zoology from the University of Maryland, and both an MD and PhD in Anatomy and Neurobiology from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in diabetes and endocrinology.
